Entre las muchas obras maestras que generó el Ukiyo-e, esta trilogía
sobre el Monte Fuji es una de las más impresionantes, en ella Hokusai
desarrolló todo su talento en aras de una economía de medios de la
que es deudora, en gran medida, la ilustración y la pintura de nuestra
época.
Durante nuestra investigación sobre la relación de Mishima con los
grandes géneros del Ukiyo-e no pudimos resistirnos a reproducir el
volumen 2.
Aunque hemos intentado ser fieles al espíritu de la publicación original,
nos hemos tomado algunas libertades. Hemos usado la tinta risográfica
Azul Federal en lugar del negro original y hemos mecanizado
la encuadernación, manteniendo, eso sí, el concepto general de encuadernación
japonesa lateral que utilizaba la edición original.

Among the many masterpieces produced by Ukiyo-e, this trilogy on Mount
Fuji is one of the most impressive, in which Hokusai developed all his
talent for the sake of an economy of means to which illustration and
painting of our time owe a great deal.
During our research into Mishima’s relationship with the major genres
of Ukiyo-e we couldn’t resist replaying Volume 2.
While we have tried to be true to the spirit of the original publication,
we have taken some liberties. We have used Federal Blue risographic
ink instead of the original black and we have mechanized the binding,
keeping, however, the general concept of lateral Japanese binding
that the original edition used.
